Published Nov 08, 2019Edward Norton digs into the prescient racial politics of his new film noir Motherless Brooklyn on the latest episode of the Exclaim! Podcast — and he also explains why Thom Yorke got involved with the score.
The episode features Exclaim! General Manager Alex Hudson in interview with Edward Norton. During a conversation taped at the recent Toronto International Film Festival, the actor/writer/director discusses why a 1950s detective story is so relevant in today's political climate. Motherless Brooklyn is the first film he's directed in two decades (since 2000's Keeping the Faith), and he brought it out of production limbo with an all-star cast including Bruce Willis, Alec Baldwin, Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Willem Dafoe.
