Billie Joe Armstrong Delivers His Cover of 'Kids in America'
Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong is keeping his "No Fun Mondays" going strong. And this time he's offering us his take on the classic "Kids in America."

Originally done by Kim Wilde, the track was originally released back in '81 and has been covered more than a few times over the years. For Armstrong's rendition, he's dedicated it to fellow Green Day member Mike Dirnt, who turns 48 today.

"This week's No Fun Mondays is dedicated to the one, the only, Mike Dirnt. Happy birthday! Play this one loud just for him: We're The Kids In America, originally by Kim Wilde and then recorded later by The Muffs," the post was captioned.

Check out the cover below, which has again arrived alongside a cute lil video.

So far in the series, Armstrong had offered his tribute to the late Adam Schlesinger with a cover of "That Thing You Do," as well as reworking the Avengers' "Corpus Christi," the Bangles' "Manic Monday," and Tiffany's "I Think We're Alone Now," among other tracks.
