Published Jun 14, 2019Canadian-Australian troubadour Garrett Kato has gone from busker to buzzy up-and-comer, and now he's taking the next step with a new EP. Distant Land is out today via Network Records and is available to stream in full.
The album showcases Kato's dusty folk-pop style with nimble acoustic fingerpicking and smooth, wistful crooning. "River Mouth" is a swelling anthem that goes widescreen with its lush arrangement, while title cut "Distant Land" is a bittersweet look at love and nostalgia. "I'll Be Around" is a tender ballad that offers comfort in the form of heartfelt lyrics and poignant melodies.

Kato will be touring in support of the EP, including a North American run opening for Ziggy Alberts and European leg co-headlining with Riley Pearce. See the schedule below.
