Kevin Morby Readies New Album 'Sundowner'
Kevin Morby has returned with details of a new album. The singer-songwriter will share Sundowner on October 16 through Dead Oceans.

The 10-track Sundowner was recorded in Morby's home studio and saw him primarily work with a four-track Tascam 424 recorder.

"I wrote the entire album wearing headphones, hunched over the 424, letting my voice and guitar pass through the machine, getting lost in the warmth of the tape as if another version of myself was living on the inside, singing back at me," Morby recalled in a statement. "I was mesmerized by the magic of the four track not only as a recording device, but also an instrument, and considered it my songwriting partner throughout the whole process."

New song "Campfire" arrives today alongside a video which features Waxahatchee. Morby will also "tour" the record through stream performance platform Noon Chorus, performing each of his full-length albums during weekly performances starting September 10. You can find further details here.

Sundowner follows Morby's 2019 album Oh My God.
