Published Apr 12, 2019It appears former Smashing Pumpkins bass player D'arcy Wretzky is working with a new band — or at least that's according to Michigan doom-sludge group Grave Next Door.
In a series of social media posts this month, Grave Next Door said they were playing with Wretzky, Alternative Nation points out.
In one post earlier this week, Grave Next Door's Anthony Salerno can be seen with a set piece from Smashing Pumpkins' classic "Tonight, Tonight" video that was apparently at Wretzky's home.
In another post, the band wrote, "Great practice yesterday with former Smashing Pumpkins bassist D'arcy Wretzky as we prepare to go into the studio in May. She's an amazing musician!"
However, Wretzky herself has not confirmed anything on her end and she is not actually seen in either of the posts, so you may want to take this all with a grain of salt. If Wretzky is really in fact playing with Grave Next Door, it's also not clear if she's simply jamming with them for fun or if it's something a bit more serious.
Either way, you can see the social media posts in question below.
This of course follows Wretzky's very tumultuous exit from the Smashing Pumpkins and last year's "reunion" tour, which took place without her.
